William Horton Hobbs, b. 11 Dec 1805, Sampson County, North Carolina , d. 26 May 1895, Clay County, Alabama (Age 89 years) |
Married |
Abt 1845 |
- The dates on Lonnie Deaton's story simply do not work out.
Deaton states:
"...and 2nd married Elizabeth Reid "Little Grandma" (McClellan) McCullough. Elizabeth was born 8-24-1821 and died 6-14-1906 in Clay Co., AL. She was the daughter of John McCullough & "Isabella." She is buried in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, in Clay Co. Elizabeth's 1st husband was Watt McClellan who was killed when kicked by a mule. She bore Watt three children, one of which married Charlie N. Hobbs (Mary Isabella McClellan).
You see, the 1870 and 1880 census shows Mary Isabella McClellan was born abt. 1845, which means Elizabeth was married to Watt McClellan till at least 1845.
