Thomas Clayton of Culpeper, VA. His son was Robert Pollard Clayton, his son was William Jordan Clayton, 3rd Tennessee Confederate Cavalry. Thomas moved to Zanesville, Ohio. Robert decided to depart from his father during the trip and settled in Knoxville, Tennessee. He’s buried in the Ginn Cemetery in Knoxville. His tombstone exists. Other Clayton’s are buried there.
