I am a descendant of Delilah Gordon (m. Adam Shriver, Sr.), dau of James Adam Gordon and Cassandra Holland. This lineage supposedly traces back to several kings and even to Cleopatra? I am a great-great-great-grandson of Jesse Palmer (c1770-1825) son of John Palmer of Newvberry County SC and brother of Daniel, Horatio and Zimri. Jesse's son Damiel (1802-1968) married Hannah Pearson in Ohio in 1824 and they are my great-great grandparents.

Ivy, I must admit it took me a bit to recall how you ended up in my genealogy.
Here's the connection - Grace Vanderbilt married my 7th cousin twice removed (on my father's side), Henry Gassaway Davis.
Grace Vanderbilt and Gloria Vanderbilt are 1st cousins...
My common ancestors for Henry Gassaway Davis are John Gaither & Ruth Morley.
As for the 'dead' flag - call it a data input error, or a typographical error. I will correct it.
And you're right, it is bizarre.

I am a part of the Allred/Donahoo Family. My grandmother is Lucille Donahoo. Her son, my deceased father is Mack A. Donahoo. I believe my dad, Howard B. Watkins, was good friends with John Chapman Hoge if this is the John Hoge that attended MCV Dental School and practiced as a dentist. I am trying to locate Dr. Hoge's son to send him a momento from MCV that was created to celebrate his dad's 60th class reunion (class of '51). Does anyone have any contact information on John Hoge's son? I do not know his name. Thanks.

I am related I believe, to the 4th generation on my mothers side to " George Russell Chase" who is buried in a Pioneer cemetery in Jefferson, OR, not far away. He died in Albany, OR where my office is. I happened here by "chance" as I was born in central Oregon but raised in CA. I've been in the Northwest for some 26 years.

Nice Site! Lots of info here, My mother is a Alred. Her father was Robert Charles "Bobby" Alred, His father was Robert Columbus Alred, His father was Lewis Patterson Allred.
