I couldn't tear myself away from your website--more interesting than anything I've ever found in family history sites. This was truly an enjoyable morning--while looking for information on my uncle's Garner kin, I found myself waylaid by photos and information on your multiple kinships. Great work! (...and where did you find the time?)

Found your site looking for more information about a (presumably unmarried) Harrison Withers, died 1918, buried in Hollywood Forever cemetery.
I'm thinking about getting the Withers-America book, but the price is a little steep for not being able to browse it. Is it worth it?

Fabulous website. My relative is the brother of Gustavus Miller Bower. His name is Michael Bower. Michael Bower's son was Michael Rowzee Bower who's son Edwin Gustavus Bower was a judge here in Dallas, Texas. His name is on the Dallas, Courthouse. I wish you had more about the Bower family.

I am incredibly impressed by the caliber of your work. Your authority is obvious. I am descended from Jane (Jean) Hogue of VA and William D. Neally of Ireland. They lived in Blount County Tennessee. Her parents and grandparents are my challenge. Supposedly she was the daughter of James Hogue and Margaret Parks. Where it goes from there...I have no idea. Regardless...wonderful website!!

I found the marriage info. you do not have about Phebe F. Griffith. She married a relative of mine, James Henry Hollis on 27 Nov 1870 in Etowah County Alabama. You will find them on Ancestry on the free 1880 FC in Ashville of St. Clair County Alabama with their five sons: Sydney, Robert, George, William, Thomas. She died 29 Jul 1902 in Gainsville of Cooke County Texas. I have the Hollis family info. if you need it.

I really love the format of your website. What program was used to produce it. It is similar to www.pitard.net which I also love.
Craig:
pitard.net uses the same software I do. There is a link for The Next Generation at the bottom of every one of their pages, just as there is on mine.

Hello. I am descended from Daniel Hoge and Rebecca Wheeler through John F. Hoge and his daughter, Beulah Vesta Hoge Stephens. I noticed on your site that you had attended Anniston High. Do you remember a Michael Moore? He is my brother and turns out you were classmates; he even dug out his copy of The Hour Glass to confirm it. He wanted to know if your remember the sit-in they had, which he said lasted almost 2 weeks.
Craig:
No, I don't remember. I have a foggy recollection about something to do with Cobb. It bothers me that I wouldn't remember something like that. Hopefully, before too long, I will have some time to devote to this.

I can only find info on the Hogues (Hogg) to the 1700's back to Andrew Hogg who married Alley Murray ( she was from Athol, Maryland). Andrew fought in Revolutionary War and was given land in Kentucky. Cannot find any info farther back. Anyone have info on Andrew?
Craig:
Did you check Dwight Hogge's "Hoge DNA Project"? http://hdhdata.org/hoggdna.html

Actually Mary Keen did marry her husband friend, Henry Rayner, after Thomas Died. She claimed headrights for him and a Thomas Shirley who I'm related to. Henry died very soon after that and she married Robert Broughton. She mentions RAynor in her will of 1662. He maiden name is Thorley daughter of Edward Thorley. She has at least three brothers, Edward John, samuel.
Henry Raynor may have had a son prior to Marrying Mary Keene. She claims headrights for Henry Raynor in 1658. I believe she may have been married to Broughton by that time.

Notice your guestlist had the surname of "Gunter" listed. Is that a variation of Hunter as is Yaegar from Germany? Appreciate any answer. Thanks. F. Kay Hunter Roberts

Your site is unbelievable! What a good job. I am searching for the Hunter line that was in NJ in 1750-1800. My 3rd grt-grandfather, Aaron Hunter, was born Jan.12,1800NJ. He is found in Beaver Co., PA with other Hunter groups which are related to the Hunters from Scotland via Ireland. If anyone has any Hunter ancestors located in NJ I would like to hear from them. I have matched up many Hunter lines but not my particular branch. The DNA found my line is connected to Henry Hunter who married Sarah Whitmel. I have tracked that line to William (the Immigrant/Weaver) b. 1624-1634 Alnwick, IR and migrated into Nansemond,VA. Would love to exchange info with any connections. Thanks. F.Kay Roberts

absolutely love your site! loads of info and great fun! especially enjoy reading the several ways you're related to people. we really are all one big family, as I found out this week when I finally put my Hoge line together with my husband's Howe/Howes line at James Hoge & Elizabeth Howe's marriage. They were cousins...and, now it seems, so are we (just several times removed!)
